The impact of teachers’ shocking behaviors in fostering students’ creativity

It is often known that teachers have a bias with children that are deemed creative simply because many of them who undertake test scores often play a large role in how they are likely to become evaluated. Teachers are known to perceive instructional practices which help develop and foster creative thinking to students. In the classrooms, many of the teachers maintain a climate to which many of the creative thinkers are respected and the constant generation of new ideas is widely encouraged.

So, how do teachers improve creative thinking in students?

It is widely a common practice by teachers to reward some of the different ideas and products by providing choices that help put more emphasis to a student’s interests and strengths. It, however, needs to be noted that not most teachers would love a classroom full of intellectual students and thus some see creative students as interference, often regarding them as having a hyperactive behavior. So, what is creativity?

Creativity is defined as the involvement of cognitive processes that help transform a person’s understanding of or explaining some of the relationships to, the world. It is uncommon to see teachers having a bias against creative students. It is common because many of them believe and fear that it will diminish the level of creativity among students in classrooms. They believe that creative students devalue some of the attributes like impulsivity, , and independence. Some of the questions many people ask are how most of these teachers can nurture creative students in this fast-developing technological world.

People who are creative are known to solve some of the problems that many people in the world face. Many of them are useful to the society due to the kind of inventions they constantly come with, however, it is imperative to note that most of these inventions do take time and so there expects to be some other problems generated which are known to have negative side effects before a solution is realized.

What are some of the ways to which one can foster creativity in the classroom as a teacher?

There exist various ways that can help achieve the above question. Teachers can begin by curating activities that help the student think broadly such as acting out plays like historical events or pose some questions to the students giving them challenges which ways are to helping come up with new ways to create.

Teachers need to note that the best inventions come from people who had their creativity kept alive in their childhood era. Research shows that students who are nurtured in this type of way are more likely to practice their creative thinking skills in their day-to-day operations. Teachers need to understand that it is their duty to fostering creativity. Introducing and nurturing creative thoughts in classrooms is not always easy but simple practices like getting visual with all your teachings, encouraging the writing of essays if you are an English teacher or even having your students participate in science fairs where they can use their creativity in writing and inspire the generation of new ideas.

With technological advancements occurring daily, so is the need to having more creative mindsets that are useful in improving and can bring new ideas that can help shape but most importantly solve a common need. Most of the problems that constantly occur require students that can help with these achievements since it is widely common that many of our students have the same level of education that is being taught in our schools, however, those who show the above skills are in higher demand by most of the corporations.

Students that show a willingness to connect with the ideas and concepts easily are known to have the ability to easily synthesize information thus doing so in creative ways.
